Steve Whitmore
Steve Whitmore was in continuous employment in the aviation industry for over forty four years before his retirement in December 2010 from the position of Security Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager at Perth Airport.
Steve has broad technical experience in the design, construction, maintenance and management of aviation infrastructure and operations. This includes time as Technical Manager of mechanical and technology infrastructure, Manager of the Perth international terminal, Manager of security and emergency services, and Manager of all security aspects of new airport projects. Steve was responsible for the introduction of risk based enhanced security measures following the terrorist attacks in the United States in 2001. Steve has also generated a significant element of Perth airports regulatory documentation, as well as Manager of quality assurance and compliance.
